Required Equipment- Scoped rifle (14.5” barrel or longer, recommended .556 or larger, No .50bmg), ammunition (200 rounds precision), eye and ear protection, suitable range attire, notebook and pen, sunscreen, hydration. Shooting sticks, tripod, sandsock/sandbag recommended, not required.

 

Course Summary- This course was developed and designed for beginner distance shooters and hunters looking to expand their knowledge of distance shooting. These methods and techniques are designed to provide you with the best information and drills possible to ensure you, and your rifle, can operate at peak performance. Instructor will conduct a scope check to ensure it is properly torqued and leveled.

Women's Self Defense (1 Day)

Women ages 18 and over (special age waivers granted upon request with parental consent) who have a strong desire to learn basic techniques that aid in self-protection. Be advised that while this course is designed for all women, beginners through advanced trainers, it is specifically designed to be intense. Techniques in this course are tested in practical applications applied with force. COURSE SUMMARY-

Tactical Shooter 1

Duration- 1 day, October 11, 2018

Pre Requisites- Shooters must show the basic skills of safe gun handling and proof of shooting experience. Proof of shooting experience can be one of the following: NRA Basic pistol certificate, Military DD-214, RPG Pistol level 1 certificate, or demonstrate the pre-course assessment. Persons who are convicted felons, have a documented history of mental illness, or who have been convicted of domestic violence need not apply.

The Instructor-

Mike Swartz, PA-C is a 31 year Army Veteran, enlisted and officer in conventional infantry, medical, and special forces units. His multiple deployments include the Middle East, Central America, Eastern Europe, SE Asia, Bangladesh and North America. He holds degrees in Nursing, Medicine, and Counterinsurgency, and pioneered multiple established techniques in austere medicine. He worked as a specialist in orthopedic diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation since graduating from the top ranked University of Nebraska interservice physician assistant program in 2000. He performed additional surgical assistant training at the Carle Clinic in Illinois, a regional trauma center. Prior to PA school, Mike worked as a cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse at St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. He has also received additional training in ATLS, ACLS, PALS, CPR instructor, and Wilderness ALS.
