INTERESTED PARTICIPANTS MAY INCLUDE LAW ENFORCEMENT, MILITARY, WILDERNESS ENTHUSIASTS/SURVIVALISTS, HUNTERS, OR ANYONE WHO MAY FIND THEMSELVES IN A RURAL AREA PRONE TO ACCIDENTAL INJURY.

COURSE SUMMARY-
THIS COURSE’S PRIMARY FOCUS IS TEACHING EMERGENT CARE SKILLS TO EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY TREAT TRAUMA PATIENTS WITH ITEMS THAT ARE READILY AVAILABLE AND NOT INCLUDED IN A FORMAL KIT. HANDS-ON EXERCISES COMPRISE THE MAJORITY OF THE COURSE TO PROMOTE THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF COMPREHENSION OF THE MATERIAL TAUGHT. THIS COURSE ALLOWS FOR FLEXIBILITY OF STUDENT’S NEED RATHER THAN A FIXED STANDARD. COMPLETETION OF THE COURSE WILL GIVE PARTICIPANTS THE SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES NEEDED TO MAKE LIFE-SAVING DECISIONS AND ACTIONS IN A TIMELY MANNER.
