Introduction to Long Range Marksmanship

COURSE SUMMARY:

This is a basic level course designed for individuals who are new to long-range marksmanship or rifle beginners in general. We will start by marking sure all of the weapons and optics are set up. Then, begin refining fundamentals during the zeroing process. Eventually, pushing out to 600 yards. There will be a lunch break if needed.

THIS COURSE INCLUDES:

• Rifle knowledge and firearms safety,

• Confirmation of proper optic mounting,

• Establish and confirm a repeatable zero,

• Target Engagement out to 600 yards,

• Refinement of various shooting positions,

• Dope Building techniques,

• Wind/Mil Formula handouts,

• Range estimation handouts.

PRE-REQUISITES:

Have a desire to learn. Persons who are convicted felons, have a documented history of mental illness (individual waivers granted at Instructor’s discretion), or who have been convicted of domestic violence need not apply.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

• Rifle style weapon and scope,

• Ammunition (200 rounds recommended),

• Eye and Ear Protection,

• Suitable Range Attire,

• Notebook and Pen,

• Sunscreen,

• Warming Layers (Seasonal),

• Hydration source.

• Shooting mat/backpack (optional)
